Keep Germs Away—Wash Your Hands the Right Way

Handwashing is one of the most effective ways to prevent the spread of illnesses like enterovirus, colds, and flu.

  • Wet your hands with clean running water.
  • Lather with soap and scrub for at least 20 seconds.
  • Rinse thoroughly.
  • Cup hands under water to remove all soap.
  • Dry with a clean towel or air dry.

Handwashing is especially important before meals, after using the restroom, and after touching shared surfaces.

Burn Treatment—What to Do Immediately

For minor burns:

  • Run cool (not cold) water over the area for 10–15 minutes.
  • Gently pat dry and cover with a sterile, non-stick bandage.
  • Do not apply toothpaste, oils, or butter.
  • Seek medical help for serious or large-area burns.

Early action can prevent infection and reduce scarring.

Why Water Matters When You're Sick

Staying hydrated helps your immune system work better. Here's why it matters:

  • Keeps mucous membranes moist—your first line of defense
  • Supports sweat and urine to eliminate toxins
  • Improves medication absorption and reduces side effects
  • Prevents dehydration-related fatigue and brain fog

Drink warm water when possible to soothe your throat and support recovery.

Stop Dengue—Eliminate Mosquito Breeding Grounds

Mosquitoes can spread serious diseases like Dengue Fever.
How to protect yourself:

  • Empty and clean water containers weekly
  • Cover water tanks tightly
  • Keep gutters and drains clear of standing water
  • Use window screens and insect repellents

Enterovirus Prevention & Class Suspension Policy

  • 2 or more suspected/confirmed cases of EV71 or D68 in a single class may trigger suspension
  • Disinfection, mask-wearing, and distancing are strongly encouraged
  • Applies especially to students in Grades 1–2
