TYAS Lunar New Year Celebration: A Festive Showcase of Culture and Talent
As we are now fully into the year of the snake, TYAS welcomed the Lunar New Year with a spectacular celebration brimming with cultural richness, artistic expression, and community spirit. This event served as a platform for students to showcase their talents while embracing the deep-rooted traditions of this cherished holiday.

A Stage Alive with Tradition and Festivity
A true Lunar New Year celebration begins with a tribute to classical Taiwanese elements, immersing the audience in the local culture and setting the stage for an authentic festive atmosphere. The event commenced with Grade 1’s song and dance performance, "Black and White Chicken + Creamy Mushroom Soup," infusing the auditorium with energy and enthusiasm.

Next, Grade 2 delighted the audience with a captivating drama performance, "The Mouse’s Wedding," a timeless tale rooted in Chinese New Year folklore, particularly associated with the third day of the lunar calendar. Keeping the festive momentum alive, Grade 3 delivered a dynamic performance of "Happy New Year + Spin the Luck Song," radiating joy and good fortune.

Grade 4 then transported the audience to ancient China with their theatrical rendition of "Mulan," bringing to life the legendary heroine’s story of courage and resilience.

The grade five class continued to impress with their interpretation of "The Alliance of Broken Hearts," a powerful song and dance performance. The middle school students mesmerized the audience with "Endless Love for You," showcasing their vocal and artistic talents.
Culminating the celebration was a heartwarming collaborative performance from Grades 1 to 5, "Prosperous and Joyful Chinese New Year," symbolizing unity, hope, and collective aspirations for a promising year ahead.

A Community United in Celebration
During a short break, parents and some students gathered in the cafeteria to enjoy a selection of tasty snacks and refreshments, adding to the festive spirit of the event. The opportunity to share delicious treats provided a wonderful moment for families, teachers, and students to connect and celebrate together, further enhancing the sense of community and joy that filled the school.
This extraordinary event would not have been possible without the unwavering dedication of our Chinese teachers, Ms. Hu and Mr. Lien, whose guidance and meticulous planning brought each performance to life. We extend our deepest appreciation to our talented students for their hard work and creativity, as well as to the families whose enthusiastic support made the occasion even more special.
As we embrace the Year of the Snake, TYAS remains committed to fostering cultural appreciation, artistic expression, and a strong sense of community. We wish everyone a prosperous, joyful, and fulfilling Lunar New Year!
